HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS NORMALE, SANT’ANNA AND IUSS OFFER ONLINE ORIENTATION SUMMER PROGRAM TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. SANT’ANNA ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR 100 STUDENTS IN THEIR PENULTIMATE YEAR OF STUDY BEGINS ON JUNE 30 AND RUNS THROUGH JULY 2, 2020

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the 4th Orientation Program Scuola di Orientamento Universitario, offered by the  Normale - Sant’Anna (Pisa) - Iuss Pavia Higher Education Consortium to 300 students in their penultimate year of high school is taking place online in June and July 2020. 

The Orientation Program was created to provide talented students an overview of the selection process in new learning environment of higher education. The program is designed to enable the gifted and talented learners to make decisions based on their strengths, weaknesses, interests, and special talents.

The Scuola Normale Superiore held the first session on 23 - 25 June, 2020. On 30 June - 2 July, 2020, the program designed to provide talented and motivated students with an orientation experience and learn about the institutions Normale - Sant’Anna (Pisa) - Iuss Pavia’s mission and recruitment process offers the opportunity to gain insights into the college life at Sant’Anna School. Iuss Pavia will hold the third session on 7 - 9 July 2020. 

“In light of the Coronavirus situation, our whole community will continue to support students in choosing courses and find out more about studying at highly regarded colleges such as Normale, Sant’Anna and Iuss.  Now more than ever, we are working to keep excellent students engaged. Even from a distance, students who want to realize their full academic potential and explore their career options can benefit from our higher education community-oriented approach.” said Luigi Ambrosio, director of Scuola Normale Superiore; Sabina Nuti, rector of Sant’Anna School; Riccardo Pietrabissa, rector of Scuola Iuss, presenting the summer program admissions 2020. 

Students who qualified to participate in the Orientation Program have the opportunity to attend lectures, seminars, and educational workshops about global issues and research topics in climate change, medicine and cardiology, political philosophy and international law. Connecting with the Normale, Sant’Anna and Iuss academic staff, prospective students will get advice about essential skills that will help them through the university experience, such as critical thinking and the ability to communicate effectively.
